Technical Deep-Dive
Here’s the thing about our halogen patio heaters: we built them around high-intensity infrared lamps, because you want heat that lands where you need it, not just drifting off into the night. Most units run on 230V or 400V, pulling between 1500W and 2500W. And that 300mm tube? It’s a smart compromise. It keeps the footprint small enough for a tight patio, but still gives you enough radiant surface to spread the warmth evenly—no single scorching hot spot.
Material & Design
Inside, you’ve got a quartz envelope with a halogen fill. That fill keeps the filament steady, so the lamp stays bright over time instead of fading fast. And the heat? It’s shortwave infrared, which means it warms your skin and your furniture directly. Not the air around them. So you feel the warmth almost instantly. We also made the replacement simple. The tube uses an R7s connector—a straight, two-pin setup. Wire it, line up the pins, clamp it down. No messing around with complicated terminal blocks.
Application & Benefits
Outdoor comfort is about speed and durability. These heaters fire up right away when the evening turns cold, and the tough quartz body can take what the weather throws at it. That said, there’s a trade-off. The heat runs intense, so you need proper mounting clearance and a solid ventilation plan. Keep the reflector clean and the lamp aligned, and you get steady, predictable warmth—every single time.
